The Division of Genitourinary Pathology consists of Dr. Debra Zynger (director), Dr. Larry DeRenne and Dr. Stephen Moore. The division has a wide diversity of cases and a large oncologic volume including approximately 500 robotic prostatectomy, 300 nephrectomy, 100 cystectomy, 30 orchiectomy, and 10 penectomy resection cases per year. Members of the division participate in several monthly interdisciplinary meetings attended by Pathology, Urology, Genitourinary Oncology and Radiation Oncology including: Urologic Oncology Tumor Board, Urologic Pathology Case Conference, Urologic Oncology Grand Rounds, Urologic Oncology Research Conference, and Genitourinary Oncology Clinical Trial Update. Subspecialty sign-out allows for in depth teaching opportunities with a one month resident rotations in Genitourinary Surgical Pathology and medical student rotations in Genitourinary Surgical Pathology and Uro-oncologic Pathology Research for trainees specializing in Pathology or related disciplines such as Urology.
