The Division of Head and Neck Pathology provides diagnostic histopathology for the Department of Otolaryngology and other services involving head and neck lesions. Faculty members include Drs. Alessandra Schmitt, Larry DeRenne, Hans Iwenofu, and Paul E. Wakely, Jr. (director). Part of our clinical research is focused on squamous cell carcinomas of the oropharynx associated with human papilloma virus. The division is involved in pathology education for otolaryngology residents in addition to residents in pathology.
