About our Fellowship Programs

Approximately 14 residents and 3-6 fellows participate in the various departmental programs.  The "core" is a four year program in combined anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP).  Individual programs in anatomic pathology (AP) or clinical pathology (CP) are also available.  All programs lead to eligibility for the appropriate certification examination by the American Board of Pathology.  Fellowships are offered in breast/genitourinary, cytopathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal, hematopathology, transfusion medicine, and renal/transplant pathology.

**Please note that beginning June 2008 trainees must have completed USMLE Step III prior to completion of the PGY-2 training year.  Trainees entering at the PGY-3 level or higher must have completed USMLE Step 3 prior to their Medical Staff appointment to The Ohio State University Medical Center.
