HISTORY:

A female in her 60s presented with back pain. Computed tomography scans revealed two distinct masses in her unilateral kidney.

The renal malignancies are obvious, but what about the increased inflammation?

  1. Interstitial nephritis
  2. Mantle cell lymphoma
  3. Follicular lymphoma
  4. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia/Small lymphocytic lymphoma
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia/Small lymphocytic lymphoma. The renal malignancies are clear cell renal cell carcinoma and chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, respectively.
