HISTORY:
A male in his 50s presented with shortness of breath for 3 days as well as sudden onset of abdominal pain and nausea 4 days prior to admission. Past medical history includes Diabetes Mellitus type II, HIV, and Castleman disease. Echocardiogram demonstrated a large pericardial effusion with signs of right ventricle diastolic collapse. Physical exam showed distended neck veins and tachycardia. A pericardial tap was performed.
