Debanjan Chakroborty, PhD
Dr. Chakroborty is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Wexner Medical Center ,The Ohio State University. Dr. Chakroborty received his Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India (2005). Before joining Ohio State University, he completed his post-doctoral training from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. His main research focus is to examine the role that endogenous growth factors play in tumor growth, progression and promotion of cellular metastasis; to develop strategies that can be employed to reduce tumor growth and curb the metastatic dissemination of tumor cells. Other areas of research include peripheral vascular diseases, wound biology and healing with an emphasis on angiogenesis and tissue microenvironment.
