Rongqin Ren, MD, PhD
Rongqin Ren, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor-Clinical in the Anatomic Pathology Branch. Dr. Ren earned her MD from Shanghai Medical College Fudan University (formal Shanghai Medical University) in Shanghai, China and Ph.D in Cell Biology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center. She then joined Virginia Commonwealth University Health System for fellowships in Molecular Genetic Pathology and Cytopathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (2015), and Molecular Genetic Pathology (2016).
