Biosketch

Dr. Savage is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology at The Ohio State University. Within the department, she is a member of the gynecologic pathology division and intraoperative frozen section service. She received her MD from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as a surgical pathology fellowship, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She subsequently went on to complete a two-year fellowship in gynecologic pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Savage is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Savage’s primary research interests include oncologic gynecologic pathology. She is also interested in medical education and working with learners at all levels. She is a member of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists (IsGyp), the International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP), the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP). She currently serves as The Ohio State University’s USCAP Ambassador.
