Biosketch

Arwa Shana’ah, MD is an Assistant Professor-Clinical in the Clinical Pathology Branch. She is also the Co-Director of the Residency/Fellowship Program in the Department of Pathology. Dr. Shana’ah earned her MBBS from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. She completed a one year residency in the Pathology Department at Jordan University Hospital in Amman, followed by a two year residency in the Pathology Department at Al-Basheer Hospital. Dr. Shana’ah came to The Ohio State University Department of Pathology to complete a combined residency in anatomic and clinical pathology followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and then a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine. Dr. Shana’ah is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and also has a special qualification in Transfusion Medicine by the American Board of Pathology.
