Biosketch
Lynn Schoenfield, MD is an Associate Professor-Clinical in Anatomic Pathology at OSUWMC. Dr. Schoenfield earned her MD from the Medical College of Ohio (now University of Toledo) in Toledo, Ohio. After medical school she was a resident in anatomic and clinical pathology at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, a resident in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and she then completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio (1991). She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has licenses to practice in Ohio and Israel. At OSUWMC, she is the director of ocular pathology; and she works with the head and neck pathology and gastrointestinal pathology subspecialty groups. She also signs out cases from the pathology department of Ohio State East Hospital. Teaching responsibilities include a didactic course in ocular pathology for the ophthalmology residents, private pathology sessions with ophthalmology residents, and general teaching of pathology residents and medical students. She is on a national committee to create a digital teaching library for ophthalmology residents through the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her main research interests have been in ocular disease, but she has also published in multiple other areas, including gastrointestinal, genitourinary, breast, lung, and digital pathology.
