The Ohio Society of Pathologists (OSP) is a not-for-profit organization composed of almost 300 physicians dedicated to the promotion of the field of pathology in the state of Ohio.

Our members are involved in leadership positions at the local, city, state, and national levels. The Ohio Society of Pathologists is very active in the areas of continuing education, quality assurance, and the legislative and socioeconomic aspects of the practice of pathology.

OSP does not directly provide clinical services, including any form of testing or post-mortem examination.

Ohio Society of Pathologists Virtual Poster Competition for Residents, Fellows and Medical Students

The Ohio Society of Pathologists is hosting a virtual poster competition for all Ohio pathology residents, fellows and medical students at our Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Posters already presented at another national/regional meeting in the past 12 months are WELCOME!

Submit a Poster Submit a pdf or PowerPoint copy of any poster you have presented in the past 12 months (poster can already have been presented at another regional/national meeting) to Val Campana, OSP Administrator, at veliaacampana@aol.com.

Deadline for Submissions Friday, April 5, 2024

Rules One poster submission per trainee.

Prizes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes (monetary prize and certificate). Winners will be selected by the Ohio Society of Pathologists Board of Governors and announced during the business meeting of our Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The winners’ posters will also be uploaded to our website after the meeting.

Seeking OSP Program Ambassadors

Dear Ohio Pathology Trainees,

The Ohio Society of Pathologists (OSP) Board of Governors is seeking OSP Program Ambassadors from each of the seven pathology training programs in the great state of Ohio. Please see below for further details regarding each position.

If you are interested in the Program Ambassador position, please email your CV and a brief statement of interest (3 to 5 sentences) in the position(s) to our administrator Velia Campana at: veliaacampana@aol.com

Application Deadline is Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:59PM ET.

OSP Program Ambassadors

  • Total Number of Positions: 7 (one position for each training program)
  • Position Term: 1 year*
  • Eligible Applicants: any pathology trainee (resident or fellow) actively training in the state of Ohio
  • Position Description: Program Ambassadors are tasked with encouraging Ohio pathology trainees from their institution to engage with the Ohio Society of Pathologists. Program Ambassadors encourage engagement by reminding their trainee colleagues to join OSP (membership is free for trainees), to attend the biannual Educational Programs (attendance is free for trainees), and to participate in Society-led activities such as the Annual Virtual Poster Competition and the Annual Resident Roundtable Luncheon. Each Program Ambassador will serve as the contact person between the OSP Board of Governors and their training institution.

*1 year minimum of service after position election. Each position can be extended in one year increments by the Board of Governors without the need for trainees to reapply, should both the trainee and the Board be interested in continuing the relationship
