HISTORY:
                     A male patient in his 70s presented with right flank pain.  Subsequent abdominal and pelvic MRI demonstrated a 1.6 cm mass in the upper pole of his right kidney. Right partial nephrectomy was conducted on follow up.
                           
                    
                 
                 
                    GROSS:
                       The specimen is designated “Right kidney tumor” and consists of a 3.5 cm x 3.0 cm x 2.3 cm partial nephrectomy. Sectioning of the specimen reveals a 1.6 cm x 1.5 cm x 1.3 cm yellow red-brown mass that is entirely submitted.
