HISTORY:

A female in her 80s with history of breast cancer presents with gross hematuria. Comuted tomography (CT) of abdomen and pelvis showed a hyperdense soft tissue mass lesion measuring 3.7 cm x 4.2 cm in the bladder lumen.

GROSS:

The specimen is designated "bladder lesion anterior wall" and consists of three intact oblong-shaped fragments of pink-tan, heavily cauterized tissue.  The fragments range in dimension from 0.5 x 0.3 x 0.2 cm up to 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.3 cm
