The Data SC captures data on employee, author, and speaker demographics to better understand the diversity and equity of its internal practices and identify any areas of concern or trends.
The Events SC aims to spread awareness and education about issues related to DEIB and how to address them. This is done by organizing guest speakers, workshops, potlucks, and other events that bring information to the department and bring people together to foster a sense of belonging.
The Media SC reviews journal articles, books, movies and other media and shares their review with others to increase awareness to various DEIB topics and issues.
The Outreach SC attends events such as career fairs, expos, and educational settings to educate individuals on the world of Pathology, Clinical Labs, and the Medical Laboratory Field.
The Website SC helped to revamp our DEIB website and assists in keeping content relevant and updated so that visitors see important DEIB news, information, and pictures.
