Biosketch
Dr. Vidya Arole is a board-certified pathologist with specialized expertise in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic pathology. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Pathology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she combines diagnostic excellence with a passion for medical education and research.
Dr. Arole underwent rigorous pathology training at The Ohio State University, including a dedicated GI pathology fellowship. She earned her medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India, and completed her M.D. in Pathology with a Gold Medal from BJ Government Medical College, Pune, India.
She brings extensive experience in evaluating a high-volume and complex caseload of GI specimens, participates actively in multidisciplinary GI tumor boards, and is deeply involved in teaching residents and medical students. Her research focuses on AI based diagnostic and prognostic aspects of colon cancer pathology, with publications in high-impact journals and presentations at national conferences.
