Biosketch
Manisha Mishra joined The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as Assistant Professor in late Fall of 2019 following a brief stint in private practice in Ohio. Dr. Mishra attended medical school at S.C.B. Medical college in Cuttack, India, and completed a 3-year residency in Pathology at JIPMER, India. Following AP/CP training in the USA, she completed fellowship training in Cytology from the Cleveland Clinic and Hematopathology at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Mishra is a clinical track associate faculty and her clinical duties mainly involve covering AP/CP service at community hospitals in and around Columbus, OH, including OSU East. The bulk of her work involves sign out of general surgical pathology cases and cytology cases including both GYN and non-GYN cases (fluids and FNA cytology including EBUS- and EUS-guided samples).
She represents the community pathologists on the digital pathology initiative and is actively involved in utilization of digital services at these sites. Dr. Mishra also is part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee in the department of pathology, which is part of an institution-wide initiative.
Dr. Mishra has published numerous journal articles in cytology and surgical pathology. She is the recipient of the Philip Coogan award for outstanding research productivity during residency, and National Talent Scholarship (a national level merit-based scholarship in India).
