Our lab is interested in elucidating mechanisms of viral-led oncogenesis. We currently use Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi Sarcoma's herpesvirus (KSHV) as models for our research. By using combination of next-generation sequencing technology, molecular biology and virology/immunology, we look at how host genome is epigenetically modified by viral infection to cause oncogenic events in various cancers, including lymphoma, stomach, esophageal and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
