The Division of Special Chemistry and Immunology provides specialized diagnostic through the Clinical Laboratory at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center located in University Hospital. These analysis platforms require extra time to perform and many tests require interpretation by a trained professional. Medical conditions relevant to the Special Functions Laboratory testing:

  • 4th Generation HIV (with p24 antigen detection)

  • Multiplex PCR analysis for HPV genotyping

  • Immunofluorescence biochips for autoimmune testing
  • Free Light Chain analysis
